Nicole Kidman received the 2025 Women In Motion Award at the 10th-anniversary ceremony of the Women In Motion Awards
François-Henri Pinault, CEO of Kering, Iris Knobloch, President of the Cannes Film Festival, and Thierry Frémaux, General Delegate of the Festival, presented the award to actress and producer Nicole Kidman. Brazilian filmmaker Marianna Brennand won the Emerging Talent Award.
In her acceptance speech, Nicole Kidman said, “Invest in us and believe in us because our voices matter. We will help change the world and show you what it means to be a woman. If you give us the chance, we’re ready.”
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Kering and the Cannes Film Festival hosted the festival jury members and many guests, including Isabelle Huppert, Salma Hayek Pinault, Julianne Moore, Sean Penn, Charli XCX, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Julia Ducournau, Guillermo del Toro, Julia Garner, Chie Hayakawa, Paul Mescal, Coralie Fargeat, Pierre Niney, Costa-Gavras, Dakota Johnson, Amélie Bonnin, and Virginie Efira.
Women In Motion also welcomed back six past Emerging Talent Award winners: Gaya Jiji (2016), Maysaloun Hamoud (2017), Carla Simón (2018), Eva Trobisch (2019), Shannon Murphy (2021), Ninja Thyberg (2022), and Amanda Nell Eu (2024).
The event ended with a performance by French singer Clara Luciani, who sang some of her most famous songs.
Other guests included Carla Bruni, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Vicky Krieps, Charlotte Le Bon, Jameela Jamil, Zhang Linghe, Elodie Bouchez, Tessa Thompson, and Camélia Jordana.
